Dsc_0446 During the rehanging in 2015 a plaque was attached to the headstock of this bell. It remembers George Vaughan who was tragically killed in the tower on 12th December 1892. From the accounts of the time it is probably this bell that delivered the fatal blow. You can read about it in the History section of this website.
